Two Vehicles Involved in Collision near Rancho Alegre
SANTA BARBARA, CA (January 5, 2020) – The authorities confirmed that three people are injured in a two-vehicle crash in the 2300 block of Highway 154 on Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Rancho Alegre at approximately 12:06 AM.
Reports from the Santa Barbara County Fire Department showed that a blue Nissan Sentra crossed the center-line of the road. As a result, it collided head-on with another vehicle.
The paramedics extricated the Nissan driver from the car. As a result, officials listed the victim in critical condition. In addition, the passenger and driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries. Paramedics transported the patients to Santa Barbra Cottage Hospital via ground ambulance.
Officers did not suspect alcohol or drugs are factors in the incident. However, the cause is under investigation.
