Three Injured in Suspected DUI Crash on State Route 299 [Bella Vista, CA]

Bella Vista, CA (August 21, 2021) – On Friday, three suffered injuries in a suspected DUI crash on State Route 299.

The rollover crash happened at about 9 p.m. near Dry Creek Road.

Officers said a full-sized Chevy pick-up truck was westbound on the freeway.

For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle crashed into an older model Chevy Trailblazer.

Emergency responders said three occupants of the Trailblazer suffered injuries in the accident. Paramedics rushed them to a nearby hospital for treatment. 

One person incurred minor injuries. A second victim suffered major injuries, and the third was thrown from the vehicle and is currently hospitalized with severe injuries. 

Meanwhile, the CHP said they located alcohol containers at one of the vehicles. They are investigating a possible DUI.
