One Person Trapped in Car Accident in Des Moines
DES MOINES, WA ( December 29, 2018) – Saturday morning, there was a crash involving two vehicles in the 21000 block of Des Moines Memorial Drive.
Officers and medics responded to the accident around 2:00 PM on a Des Moines roadway.
Upon arrival, police noticed a yellow Corvette was on fire and identified the other vehicle as a Toyota. The fire was extinguished shortly after, but the driver of the Toyota was trapped in the car and had to be rescued by rescue crews.
Paramedics transported all parties to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation, however status on their medical condition is currently unknown.
Due to the impact of the collision, Des Moines Memorial Drive was closed for a period of time during cleanup.
The cause of the accident is still unknown as the investigation is ongoing.
