Three Hospitalized in Interstate 5 Rollover Crash [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (December 29, 2022) – At about 11 p.m. on Tuesday, three people sustained injuries in an Interstate 5 rollover crash.

The single-vehicle rollover crash took place on the northbound freeway, south of Interstate 8.

CHP said the vehicle went off the road and overturned.

One of the three people riding the vehicle incurred a major injury, while there is no information on the extent of injuries of the other two patients.

According to Monica Munoz, SDFD media services manager, the rescuers extricated three people from the vehicle. She added that the paramedics transported two of the patients to UC San Diego Medical Center in Hillcrest and one went to Mercy Hospital San Diego.

In the meantime, officers are investigating the San Diego vehicle collision.
