Two Vehicles Involved in Major Collision near Prairie Lane
REDDING, CA (December 23, 2018) – At least three were hospitalized after a head-on crash on Airport Road, Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 9:41 AM, near the intersection of Prairie Lane. Based on their report, there were two vehicles involved in the incident. The parties were identified as a pickup truck and a small silver car. It was not clear if it was related to wrong-way driving.
The paramedics transported three victims who were hurt in the crash. One person was taken to Shasta Regional Medical Center and another one was taken to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital. Both needed treatment of major injuries. The third one was sent to Shasta Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.
Towing services were then requested for cleaning and clearing operations in the area. The accident was under investigation by the authorities to determine the cause and other factors related to it. Additional information will be released by the authorities, once it is available.
