Vehicle Catches Fire in Collision near Berryessa Road
SAN JOSE, CA (October 16, 2018) – Three people were hospitalized after a fiery crash on 680 Freeway, early Tuesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 5:07 PM on the southbound highway 680, near the Berryessa Road off-ramp. Based on an initial report from the authorities, a Toyota caught fire after a possible solo-vehicle collision.
The medics arrived at the scene to aid injured individuals involved in the crash. At least three people were sent to the Valley Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Fortunately, all conditions were said to be non-life threatening. The identities of the people involved have not been disclosed.
Events leading up to the crash and the cause of the incident are still unclear at this time. was not yet determined. An investigation is on-going. No additional information has been released to the public at this time.
