Man Struck and Injured between Monterey Avenue and Cook Street
THOUSAND PALMS, CA (February 28, 2018) – A man was found on a roadway on Wednesday and hospitalized with major injuries after a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Varner Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the unidentified man was found around 7:30 AM on Varner Road between Monterey Avenue and Cook Street. He was transported to the Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs to receive medical treatment for major injuries.
CHP Officer Mike Radford stated that investigators need the public’s support to determine the exact time the man was injured and identify the hit-and-run driver and the car involved. They are searching for the driver of the vehicle who did not stop at the scene after hitting the victim. There is no description provided of the driver or the vehicle.
