Pedestrian Accident on Moorpark Road Killed Thousand Oaks Man
Thousand Oaks, CA (September 1, 2020) – On Monday, a 39-year-old man from Thousand Oaks died in a pedestrian accident in Moorpark Road.
The fatal accident happened after 6 a.m. wherein the accident involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputy Wendell Campbell said a pickup truck was driving northbound on Moorpark Road. When suddenly, it struck a man crossing Moorpark Road in a westbound direction, north of the intersection with Wilbur Road.
Responders rushed the victim to the Los Robles Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The pick-up driver, a 33-year-old man from Yorba Linda, called 911 and reported the accident. He stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The authorities closed down the intersection for four hours.
