Passenger Thomas Watson Dies in Tragic 2-Vehicle Crash on FM 25499 [Robertson County, TX]

Robertson County, TX (June 26, 2024) On Wednesday morning, 18-year-old Thomas Watson of Franklin was killed and 3 others were hurt in a tragic 2-vehicle crash on FM 25499.

According to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal head-on collision happened around 6:30 a.m. on FM-2549, about a half mile east of McCarver Lane.

Reports say that a eastbound 2005 Ford Mustang crossed into the westbound lane and collided with a westbound 1996 Chevrolet 1500 pickup. Officials say that Watson was a passenger in the Mustang, he was declared dead at the scene.

Authorities say that the driver and a backseat passenger on the Mustang suffered serious injuries and were rushed to CHI St. Joseph Regional Health Center. Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Officials are investigating the fatal head-on collision and have not released additional information at this time.
