Brooke Buchanan Arrested in DUI Accident by Calaveras Big Trees State Park
CALAVERAS COUNTY, CA (April 18, 2021) – Saturday, Thomas Sullivan, 61, suffered injuries in a DUI crash on Highway 4 near Calaveras Big Trees State Park.
The crash involved a Ford F-250 pickup and a Honda Civic sedan. Moreover, the incident happened just after 10:00 a.m. It occurred near the entrance to the Calaveras Big Trees State Park.
Apparently, Brooke Buchanan, 21, of Merced drove a 2006 Honda Civic westbound on Highway 4.
She then pivoted into the opposing lanes, and collided with Sullivan’s 2004 Ford F250.
As a result of the crash, the road was closed at 11:00 a.m. At about 11:30 a.m., the road has since reopened.
Consequently, Sullivan, of Dorrington, and Dominic Appleby, Buchanan’s passenger, suffered injuries.
At this time, authorities report they arrested Ms. Buchanan for DUI. They continue to investigate the collision in Calaveras County.
