1 Dead in Riverside Pedestrian Accident on Van Buren Boulevard near California Avenue
RIVERSIDE, CA (March 2, 2022) – Sunday night, Thomas Shelton died in a pedestrian crash on Van Buren Boulevard near California Avenue.
The incident occurred at around 11:10 p.m. in the 4200 block of Van Buren Boulevard near California Avenue.
According to reports, Thomas Shelton stepped in and out of the four-lane corridor before the deadly crash.
Several drivers stopped for him. However, a 58-year-old Riverside woman driving a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta couldn’t stop in time.
As a result, she hit 37-year-old Shelton when he stepped into northbound lanes. At this time, the identity of the driver remains undisclosed.
Meanwhile, paramedics pronounced Thomas Shelton dead at the scene.
Also, the authorities didn’t arrest the Jetta driver.
