Juvenile Dies in Vehicle-Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crash on 67th Avenue
Phoenix, AZ (February 13, 2023) On Saturday afternoon, a deadly pedestrian accident on Thomas Road claimed the life of an 8-year-old boy.
Officials say that the fatal vehicle-pedestrian crash happened after 5 p.m. at the intersection with 67th Avenue.
Reports say that a vehicle fatally struck the boy who stepped off the sidewalk and into the street. Medical responders rushed the boy to a hospital, however, the boy succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the driver fled the scene after the collision. The suspect vehicle is described as a 4-door lifted maroon or faded red truck with a chrome strip across the door.
Phoenix PD are investigating the fatal hit-and-run crash and are actively searching for the suspect driver and vehicle.
