1 Person Dead in Costa Mesa Pedestrian Accident near Newport Boulevard and Harbor Boulevard
COSTA MESA, CA (March 7, 2024) – Tuesday morning, authorities arrested Thomas Loranze Henry after a fatal hit-and-run crash near Newport Boulevard and Harbor Boulevard.
The incident happened at around 12:30 a.m. near Newport Boulevard and Harbor Boulevard.
According to the Costa Mesa Police Department, a ride-share service struck a 47-year-old female pedestrian, then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.
Moreover, responders rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Furthermore, officers managed to locate and arrest the suspect, identified as 43-year-old Henry on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and felony hit and run.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the Costa Mesa Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
