Lester David Flores Arrested after Hit-And-Run Crash on West Prince Road in Tucson

Tucson, AZ (March 17, 2022) – On Saturday, 56-year-old Thomas Joseph Lemburg died in a hit-and-run crash on West Prince Road.

The fatal hit-and-run crash in Tucson happened on March 5.

Tucson Police said Lemburg was running across West Prince Road in the 1100 block when struck by a white 2012 Chevrolet Malibu then drove off the scene.

Lemburg then died from his injuries.

On Thursday, officers arrested 40-year-old Lester David Flores at a motel on West Miracle Mile, saying he did not put up a fight.

Flores is now booked into the Pima County Jail on a $489 bond, faces charges of a hit-and-run fatality.

Although Lemburg’s “midblock crossing” was a major contributing factor, leaving the scene is what led to his charge.
