CROMBERG, CA (August 23, 2022) – Monday, a crash on Highway 70 near Golden RV Park hurt Thomas Calvery.
 
The crash occurred when 61-year-old Barry Waters of Reno drove his Honda CRV westbound on Highway 70 approaching the Golden RV Park.
 
Meanwhile, 38-year-old Thomas Calvery of Vancouver, a resident at the RV park, sat at the dinette table of his Jayco trailer. His trailer was located in a camping space on the south side of the highway.
 
Then, Barry Waters let his vehicle go off the main portion of the highway and onto the dirt/gravel shoulder. Eventually, Waters lost control of the CRV, causing his Honda to drive across both lanes of traffic to the north and onto the north shoulder.

Then, the CRV continued out of control, went back to the south, and went across both lanes of traffic. Then, it came across the dirt/gravel shoulder, down an embankment to where the CRV collided with Calvery’s trailer.
 
After the crash, Calvery was thrown from his seat into the refrigerator opposite the dinette table, and then onto the floor.
 
Calvery stayed there until responders arrived. Responders treated Calvery at the scene but he didn’t require hospitalization.
 
Meanwhile, responders airlifted Barry Waters to Renown Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
