1 Dead in Casa Blanca Multi-Vehicle Crash

 
CASA BLANCA, AZ (December 10, 2019) – A 67-year-old woman died in a multi-vehicle crash on 10 Freeway on December 1.
 
A truck hit and killed the woman, leading to a chain-reaction collision between eight vehicles and traffic backup on 10 Freeway in both directions from Queen Creek to Casa Grande.
 
The Department of Public Safety revealed that the incident happened at milepost 178 near Casa Blanca Road when a Ford F-450 pulling a horse trailer didn’t slow down and hit an SUV.
 
Authorities identified the female passenger of the SUV as 67-year-old Thi Xuan Truong of Sierra Vista.
 
The incident made the horse out of the trailer but got contained.
 
Meanwhile, responders took eight people to local hospitals for treatment.
