49-Year-Old San Francisco Man Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision near Treasure Island
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 21, 2018) – A motorcyclist was killed Friday morning following a four-vehicle crash near Treasure Island. The deceased victim was later identified as 49-year-old Terry Lavern, a resident of San Francisco.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at about 10:45 AM. For unknown reasons, a motorcycle and three other vehicles collided in the westbound lanes of the Bay Bridge.
Lavern sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the San Francisco General Hospital. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision and to identify possible contributing factors. No other information has been disclosed to the public at this time.
