Terrell “Terry” Boese Dies in Yakima County Crash
Yakima County, WA (July 29, 2021) -On Friday, Terry Boese, an Oak Harbor brewing company owner, lost his life in a motorcycle crash on State Route 821.
Officers received the crash report at about 11:30 a.m., south of the Yakima River Canyon.
Boese was riding a Harley-Davidson on the freeway when he crashed with a Ford F-150 pickup towing a boat trailer four miles north of Selah.
The owner of an Oak Harbor brewing company was killed in a motorcycle accident in Yakima County on Friday, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Officers said Boese tried to pass the pickup while it was attempting to turn left. However, the motorcycle struck the truck and boat.
Rescuers pronounced him dead at the scene.
Officers said he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Moreover, he a self-proclaimed “proud zymurgist,” and was well-known in the North Whidbey beer scene for his big beard and big love of brewing.
He founded the Whidbey Island Homebrew Supply four years ago in Oak Harbor.
Furthermore, Boese was also a Navy veteran and an instructor at the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit Whidbey Island.
