Officials Identify Teresita Collins in Deadly Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crash
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (December 18, 2018) — A 58-year-old woman died Wednesday morning in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash in Nob Hill.
According to the San Francisco police, the incident was reported at about 3:25 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Bush Street and Leavenworth Street. 58-year-old Teresita Collins was crossing the street when she was hit by a dark-colored vehicle.
Collins was transported to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
San Francisco police officers said that a surveillance footage provided to them showed the hit-and-run vehicle was driven by a woman who briefly stopped the vehicle after hitting Collins. The woman in the video halted and got out of a small, dark-colored car. She then looked back down the street but went inside the car and drove away.
No arrests have been made, and the incident remains under investigation.
