VICTORVILLE, CA (February 7, 2024) – Sunday night, authorities arrested Teresa Navarrete after a crippling DUI crash near D Street and Seventh Street.

The incident happened at around 10:32 p.m. near D Street and Seventh Street.

According to the Victorville Police Station, a 2016 Kia struck a male pedestrian for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders rushed the 38-year-old male victim to a hospital with head injuries.

Furthermore, officers arrested and booked the driver of the KIA, identified as 27-year-old Apple Valley resident, Navarrete, to High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for V.C. 23153(A)- Driving Under the Influence Causing Bodily Injury, V.C. 23153(B)- Driving Under the Influence with a 0.08% Alcohol Content or Above and V.C. 14601.2(A)- Driving with a Suspended License while Under the Influence.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
