TEMECULA, CA – One Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on 15 Freeway near Highway 79

Driver with Medical Condition Dies after Crash on 15 Freeway in Temecula

 
TEMECULA, CA (April 18, 2019) – One person was killed following a two-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon in Temecula.
 
The collision happened a little after 2:00 p.m. on northbound 15 Freeway, just South of Highway 79.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a blue Lexus sedan struck the center divider and then hit a gray Ford pickup truck.
 
Law enforcement arrived one the scene and found the Lexus driver with fatal injuries. The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending family notification.
 
A SigAlert was issued, blocking the fourth lane for about 30 minutes while officers worked on the scene. All lanes were reopened at 3:35 p.m.
 
Initial reports indicated that the deceased had a medical condition prior to the crash. Further investigation is underway.
