16-Year-Old Driver Killed in Auburn Solo-Vehicle Crash

Auburn, CA (March 27, 2024) – Four teenagers were injured following a Foresthill Road fatal crash Tuesday morning.

It was about 1:10 a.m. on March 26 when the fatal crash happened east of Mayflower Road.

Officers said a 2020 Toyota RAV4 driven by a 16-year-old male failed to make a curve along Foresthill Road. The vehicle then crashed into a tree, killing the 16-year-old male driver from Foresthill.

The passengers, 16 and 17-year-old females from Foresthill, a 16-year-old male, also from Foresthill, and a 16-year-old male from Newcastle, were all transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center.

Sadly, the teen driver, a Foresthill High School student, was killed in the collision.

CHP is investigating the accident but suspects alcohol may be a contributing factor.
