Officers Arrest Suspect in DUI Crash on Interstate 5
Lacey, WA (February 26, 2022) – On Thursday, a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy sustained injuries in a DUI crash on Interstate 5.
The collision took place on the freeway’s northbound lanes south of the Nisqually River bridge.
Officers say a car driven by an 18-year-old man was traveling in the right shoulder lane. For unknown reason, the vehicle veered to the left and crossed all northbound lanes. Then, it rolled over into the left shoulder and into the median between the north and southbound lanes.
Moreover, the 18-year-old woman inside the vehicle did not sustain injuries.
However, the two teen boys were seriously injured.
Meanwhile, investigators said the 18-year-old driver was impaired during the collision. Officers took him into custody.
