State Route 17 DUI Crash Injures Two
Othello, WA (January 11, 2021) – On Sunday, two teenagers sustained injuries in a State Route 17 DUI crash.
Officers said a 16-year-old Mesa boy in a 2005 Toyota 4Runner was northbound on the freeway. Reports said he swerved and drove off the highway to the right.
Then, the SUV rolled and rested on its top approximately 20 feet from the road.
Both the driver and his 15-year-old passenger were injured in the crash.
The rescuers took the teen driver to Othello Community Hospital.
Then, the paramedics also took the passenger to the Othello hospital before being airlifted to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane for further treatment.
Meanwhile, officers said the driver was driving impaired when the crash happened.
The authorities are still investigating this crash. They added that charges are pending.
