1 Dead and 1 Injured in Tulare Auto Accident on State Route 136 near Road 68
TULARE, CA (December 15, 2021) – Sunday, a teenager died in a DUI crash on State Route 136 near Road 68.
Officer Brian Likes of the CHP’s Visalia Unit said that the incident occurred just before midnight. Moreover, it happened on State Route 136 near Road 68. At this time, the authorities investigate the crash as a DUI.
According to reports, a westbound Toyota Camry made an unsafe turn off the roadway. Then, it crashed into several trees. When the officers arrived, they found one passenger dead. Meanwhile, responders took another one to a Fresno hospital with major injuries.
Meanwhile, the 16-year-old male driver sustained minor injuries and went to Kaweah Health for treatment.
Also, the authorities said that the driver will face jail time.
The incident was the ninth DUI-related death of 2021.
