Teenager Arrested after Driving Stolen Cargo Van on Chestnut Avenue and Clinton Avenue [Fresno, CA]

FRESNO, CA (December 12, 2019) – Authorities arrested a teenager after driving a stolen cargo van on Chestnut Avenue on December 6.
 
The incident occurred at about 1:30 a.m. in front of the FastTrip gas station on Chestnut Avenue and Clinton Avenue.
 
According to police, the teen struck the utility box, pick the wheels of the van up off the ground, and then escaped from the scene.
 
A police helicopter aided in finding the suspect around four blocks away at Sierra Vista Princeton. Authorities are still unsure what caused the driver to lose control of the stolen van.
 
The police will book him on charges of fleeing from officers and driving a stolen vehicle.
