Five People Hospitalized after Multi-Vehicle Collision in Gramercy Park Neighborhood
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 26, 2018) – Five people were hospitalized Sunday evening following a three-vehicle crash on South Western Avenue.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident took place near 8840 South Western Avenue in the Gramercy Park neighborhood. For unknown reasons, three vehicles became involved in a collision.
A female teenager was ejected as a result of the impact. She was transported to a local hospital after sustaining major injuries, but her condition was not immediately released. Four others – another female teen, two female adults, and one man – were also hospitalized with minor injuries. There is no update on their current medical conditions.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Authorities have provided no further information to the public at this time.
