Teen Hospitalized in San Diego SUV Collision on Truxtun Road
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 5, 2019) – A 17-year-old boy was hospitalized with multiple leg fractures following an accident on Saturday, February 2.
According to Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department, police responded at around 9:10 p.m. to the 2700 block of Truxtun Road near Dewey Road and found out that the victim was riding a scooter southbound on the west sidewalk when a 35-year-old woman driving her 2016 Land Rover northbound made a left turn into a driveway and the teenager struck the passenger side of the SUV.
The teen was rushed to a hospital with two open fractures to his lower leg, Heims stated.
San Diego Police Traffic Division conducted the investigation of the incident. No arrest was made.
