Three Injured in Tulia Fatal Vehicle Collision
Tulia, TX (January 11, 2023) – At around 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, a 15-year-old passenger from Tulia lost his life in a Highway 86 DUI collision.
The traffic collision happened on the westbound freeway, four miles east of Tulia.
According to Texas DPS, a 2019 Chrysler 300 was westbound on the freeway when it struck a concrete culvert. The vehicle was thrown into the air and rolled over.
Two unsecured passengers were thrown from the vehicle during the rollover. One of them was the 15-year-old who later died from his injuries in a local hospital.
The medical team rushed the driver with two other passengers to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The authorities investigating the Tulia fatal vehicle collision said speed and alcohol were factors in the accident.
Meanwhile, the Texas Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
