Fatal Quad and Car Crash on Brite Road in Buttonwillow
Buttonwillow, CA (September 14, 2020) – Friday night, a 13-year-old driver died, and his 15-year-old passenger sustained severe injuries in a quad crash on Brite Road and Wasco Way.
The California Highway Patrol said the two teens were on a Yamaha YZR 450 going eastbound on Brite Road and failed to stop sign at Wasco Way.
The quad went into a 2000 Honda Civic path driven by a 19-year-old Eduardo Zapedo of Delano.
As a result, both teens were ejected from the vehicle.
No other information is immediately provided. Further investigation is ongoing.
