1 Dead in Phelan Bicycle Accident on Sunnyslope Road and Sahara Road
PHELAN, CA (June 16, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, a teen died in a bicycle crash on Sunnyslope Road and Sahara Road.
The incident occurred at 1:27 p.m. on Sunnyslope Road and Sahara Road, east of Sheep Creek Road.
According to reports, an SUV driver reported that he struck a dirt bike rider. He said that as he drove down a dirt road, a dirt bike came around the corner. Then, the bicycle struck the front of the SUV.
Reports from the driver also said that the 14 to 15-year-old male was unresponsive but had a pulse. However, when the emergency personnel arrived, they declared the rider dead at the scene.
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased due to pending family notification.
