14-Year-Old Girl Hospitalized after Imperial Beach Pedestrian Accident

 
IMPERIAL BEACH, CA (August 29,2019) – A 14-year-old girl sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Imperial Beach Boulevard.
 
The vehicle struck the teenager before 8:30 a.m. on August 26 on Imperial Beach Boulevard and Connecticut Street, San Diego County Sheriff‘s Department Lt. J. Marquez revealed.
 
The victim wore headphones while she crossed the street while the pickup truck turned onto Connecticut Street. The pickup then struck the victim at a low rate of speed.
 
Responders transported the victim to a hospital.
 
Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and helped with the police. Investigators also ruled out drugs or alcohol as a factor in the collision.
 
The authorities are still investigating the collision.
