Teen Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on W Mission Road [San Marcos, CA]

San Marcos, CA (September 20, 2024) – A teen was injured in a hit-and-run crash on W Mission Road Tuesday night.

It was around 9 p.m. when the collision happened near the intersection with Knoll Road.

Investigators said the teen was riding an e-bike when he was struck by a pickup truck.

Immediately, the rescuers rushed the victim to a hospital with serious injuries.

The suspect vehicle, described as a lifted 2019-2021 white GMC Sierra, has fled the scene right after the collision. Troopers said it sustained front end damage, including a broken headlamp, fender and antenna.

The San Marcos Sheriff’s Station is asking anyone who may have information to contact them at 760-510-5200.
