1 Hospitalized after Tucson Car Collision on Wilmot Road
TUCSON, AZ (September 2, 2019) – A teen boy sustained injuries in a DUI car collision involving a truck on Wilmot Road on August 29.
According to reports, authorities arrested and booked the truck driver with a child passenger. He faced multiple felony DUI charges and aggravated assault with serious injury. Police added that additional charges are still pending.
The incident occurred at Wilmot Road and 10 Freeway. Reports revealed that the southbound pickup made a left turn in front of the northbound quad. As a result, the two vehicles crashed.
Responders transported the quad driver to the hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. However, authorities confirmed that the rider wore a helmet at the time of the collision.
The authorities are still investigating the collision and they are urging anyone with information to contact 88-CRIME.
