LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ (August 23, 2019) – A teen was found dead after being struck by a boat in Lake Havasu. The name of the victim was not yet released by the authorities.
 
According to Deputies, the accident happened near Thompson Bay. Based on a report, the 17-year-old boy from Redondo Beach got out of the boat. After that, the boat and its propeller struck him. The victim disappeared in the water and did not resurface.
 
A two-day multi-agency search was made and the victim was found by divers under 23 feet of water at about 6:15 PM Friday.
 
This case is under investigation. It’s unclear what led to the teen getting off the boat while it was moving. Police did not release any additional information regarding the details at this time.
