Why This Pedestrian Accident Won’t Be the Last to Occur This Year
In today’s current state of affairs, taking strolls outdoors is becoming the new normal. More and more people will be taking on things to escape home quarantine for a while. However as the number of pedestrians on the road rises, the likelihood of accidents involving pedestrians also rises.
There are different factors that can cause a pedestrian accident and one of the most common of them is speeding. Driving at a high rate of speed leads to motorists being unable to stop or yield for passing pedestrians. This traffic accident makes them the most vulnerable victim on the road. This is especially true, now that roads are becoming less crowded. Drivers may tend to disobey traffic rules and speed limits now more than ever.
However, there are a number of ways to lessen pedestrian accidents from continuously occurring. If you are a pedestrian, make sure to always walk on the designated sidewalks. Also, avoid any distractions like using cellphones while walking or crossing. As a driver, obeying the traffic laws and looking out for pedestrians can help ensure the safety of both of you. With these little ways, you can help lessen the likelihood of pedestrian accidents to happen despite our current state.
