Teenager Hurt in Bike Accident at Fremont Boulevard
FREMONT, CA (September 4, 2018) – On Tuesday afternoon, a teen bicyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash on Blacow Road.
According to reports, the crash occurred about 3:30 PM at the intersection of Blacow and Fremont Boulevard. A vehicle, described to be an early 2000s Chevrolet sedan, exited a shopping center on the southeast corner of the intersection and struck the teenager. Due to the impact of the collision, he fell off his bike and hit his head. His injuries were said to be non-life threatening.
The motorist did not stop and sped off eastbound on Blacow, leaving the injured teen in the road. The driver appeared to be a Latino man in his late 30’s with a medium build and short facial hair, as per Fremont Police reports.
Officers stated that the hit-and-run collision was not reported right away hence there was very little evidence and no significant leads as of Friday night. There was no information regarding the license plate number and no cameras were able to capture surveillance footage.
