Lafayette, CA (September 20, 2024) – Taylor Stevens was seriously injured in a truck accident on Highway 24. 

A couple from East Bay has postponed their wedding after the groom-to-be, Taylor Stevens, was seriously injured in a truck accident on his way home from work. 

Stevens, 24, sustained a broken leg and heel when he rear-ended a big rig on Highway 24 in Lafayette while briefly checking loose cargo in his truck. 

Following surgery, which involved placing a plate and eight screws in his leg, he faces several months of recovery and physical therapy. 

The couple had planned to marry on October 13, but Stevens won’t be able to walk down the aisle due to his injuries. 

Despite the setback, his fiancée, Chelsea Fiero, expressed relief that he survived, stating that her priority is his recovery. 

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help cover Stevens’ expenses as he recovers and remains unable to work. 

The couple is now looking forward to rescheduling their wedding for next year.
