3 Hospitalized in Santa Maria Auto Accident on Highway 101 near Wadsworth Avenue

 
SANTA MARIA, CA (January 17, 2022) – Sunday night, Tammy Silkwood and two other people sustained injuries in a DUI crash on Highway 101.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 9:15 p.m. Moreover, it happened on Highway 101, north of Wadsworth Avenue.
 
Reports revealed that a northbound Honda Accord lost control, struck a guardrail, and crashed down an embankment. Then, the vehicle finally came into rest after hitting a tree.
 
Moreover, responders transported the Honda driver, 55-year-old Tammy Silkwood, to a hospital with major injuries. Paramedics also transported two passengers of the Honda to a hospital with moderate to major injuries.
 
Furthermore, officials believe that Silkwood was under the influence of drugs when the incident occurred.
