56-Year-Old Woman Hospitalized after Struck by Car near Colorado Avenue
MODESTO, CA (September 15, 2018) – A woman was seriously injured in a pedestrian crash on Rouse Avenue, on Saturday evening.
The crash occurred at around 6:45 PM near Colorado Avenue. The victim, 56-year-old Tammy Galton of Modesto, was walking westbound on the edge of Rouse and west of Colorado when she was struck by a westbound sedan. It is unclear what speed the vehicle was traveling at the time of the collision. Following the incident, the driver fled from the scene, leaving the injured woman in the road.
Galton sustained severe head trauma and was transported to the Memorial Medical Center for treatment. There was no information on her current medical condition, and authorities are still searching for the driver of the yellow sedan.
