31-Year-Old Orcutt Man Identified as Motorcyclist Killed in Accident near North Oak Park Boulevard
ARROYO GRANDE, CA (March 13, 2019) – Authorities Identified 31-year-old Takoma Woodward of Orcutt as the motorcyclist killed in an accident near North Oak Park Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on Highway 101, at about 1:50 AM. Woodward reportedly traveled at a high rate of speed, entered the opposite lane, and ran a red light.
Police officers attempted to stop the motorcyclist on suspicion of driving under the influence. A short time later, the motorcycle went off the road and ejected the rider.
Emergency responders pronounced the Woodward dead at the scene of the crash.
Authorities continue to work on identifying the cause of the fatal accident. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked t cooperate with investigators. Additional information will be released following the conclusion of the investigation.
