2 Drivers Hospitalized After T-Bone Crash on Amargosa Road in Victorville

Victorville, CA (September 3, 2024) – A woman sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a trauma center following a T-bone crash on Amargosa Road on Tuesday morning,

The accident occurred around 9:45 a.m. on September 3, 2024, at the intersection of Amargosa Road and Smoke Tree Road. 

The crash involved a white Volkswagen Jetta and a black Toyota Scion TC. Victorville City Fire responded to the scene, reporting that the female driver of the Scion was trapped and required extrication. 

Firefighters requested a helicopter, and Mercy Air landed on Amargosa Road, airlifting the injured woman to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. 

The female driver of the Volkswagen also sustained injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. 

Her son, who arrived at the scene, informed VVNG that his mother was on her way to work at a nearby toy factory. 

Amargosa Road was closed in both directions for about two hours to facilitate the investigation and the removal of the vehicles. 

The Victorville Police Department is investigating the official cause of the accident.
