Woman Injured in Merced Pedestrian Accident on Whitewater Way and Narvaez Way
MERCED, CA (April 28, 2022) – Wednesday morning, a pedestrian crash on Whitewater Way and Narvaez Way involved Syed Sarwar Jr.
The incident happened at 5:42 a.m. on Whitewater Way and Narvaez Way, southeast of McKee Road and Yosemite Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found the 42-year-old jogger. Reports said that she experienced numbness to part of her body and had a significant laceration to her head.
According to reports, the woman jogged west along Narvaez Way. Then, she ran out directly in front of a Dodge Ram truck traveling south on Whitewater Way. Also, officers revealed that a stop sign controls Narvaez Way at the intersection. However, Whitewater Way doesn’t have any stop signs.
After the crash, responders airlifted the woman to a Modesto area trauma center with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, 29-year-old Dodge driver, Syed Sarwar Jr., of Merced, stayed on the scene and cooperated with officers.
At this time, the authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information to call Officer Crain at 209-388-7754 or by email at [email protected].
Dealing with Merced Accidents
To avoid being involved in an auto accident, a driver must aim high in steering. Don’t make your steering adjustments based on what is directly in front of you, but rather on what is down the road. If the road is winding to the right, for example, look as far into the turn as possible. This will improve your safety and make your turns smoother.
Also, the most valuable step you can take in response to a crash is hiring a personal injury attorney. Personal injury attorneys prioritize your recovery. At the same time, securing your future from further losses a severe accident can bring.
“A common misconception is that personal injury lawyers don’t care. That is simply not true. Injury lawyers care about and want justice for their clients. Also, we are driven by the desire to make our clients whole again,” says Steve Baric of Sweet Lawyers.
