2 Kids Injured as DUI Driver Hits CHP Patrol Vehicle in Northwest Fresno
Fresno, CA (May 14, 2020) – On Wednesday, a woman was taken into custody for driving under the influence and hitting a CHP patrol vehicle. Authorities’ report says they were enforcing a traffic stop when Hyundai struck their vehicle.
Apparently, the officers were in a Mazda driver when a Hyundai going south on Friant struck their CHP patrol vehicle at its back.
CHP officials also added that Hyundai’s impact made their vehicle to bump into Mazda. Hyundai on the other hand, jumped backwards to the middle lane of the traffic.
The woman was then apprehended for suspected DUI, explaining her colliding into the CHP Patrol vehicle.
Investigators said they also found drugs in her car.
CHP officials say she was with 2 children when the accident happened. They were taken to the hospital for immediate and proper treatment of their injuries.
Additionally, a woman who was in the passenger seat of Mazda was taken to the hospital.
