Suspected DUI Crash on Sierra Highway Left 1 Dead and Another Hurt [Lancaster, CA]

Lancaster, CA (October 23, 2023) On Sunday evening, a man died while another was hurt and hospitalized after a suspected DUI crash on Sierra Highway.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lancaster station, the fatal rear-end collision happened around 11:57 p.m. at Sierra Highway and Avenue L-8.

Reports say that a female driver on a Chrysler 200, rear-ended a Toyota Tacoma with 2 men inside. Medics say that both male occupants were rushed to the hospital. Where, the passenger succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at the hospital, while the driver is in critical condition.

Officials say that the woman that allegedly triggered the crash was not injured. Police later arrested the female driver on suspicion of drunken driving and vehicular manslaughter.

Authorities are investigating the fatal rear-end collision.
