Suspected DUI Crash on Highway 51 Injures 5 People [Sacramento, CA]

Sacramento, CA (July 7, 2024) On Saturday evening, a suspected DUI crash on Highway 51 left 5 people, including 3 minors hurt.

According to the Sacramento Fire Department, the traffic collision happened at about 7:32 p.m. along southbound Highway 51 north of Marconi Avenue.

Reports say that a male driver in his 30s struck several water filled plastic barriers between the highway and offramp, the collision caused the vehicle to overturn.

Officials say that the vehicle had 2 adults and 3 minors on board. All 5 people were taken to the hospital with minor to major injuries.

CHP later revealed that the driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Authorities are investigating the traffic crash.
