Two People Hurt after San Diego Rollover Crash on Pershing Drive
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 20, 2019) — Two people suffered injuries following a rollover accident on Pershing Drive on Tuesday, June 18.
According to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims, the crash occurred just before 12:50 a.m. near the intersection of Pershing Drive and 26th Street.
A 31-year-old man drove a 2000 Toyota pickup northbound on Pershing Drive at a high rate of speed. Then he lost control of the truck and it rolled over.
Emergency responders brought another 31-year-old man, who rode in the front passenger seat, to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries to his hand. He also had a large laceration on the top of his head, which was not considered to be life-threatening, said Heims.
Paramedics also transported the driver to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to Heims.
The male driver, whose identity was not immediately available, will be arrested on suspicion of DUI after being medically cleared.
