Driver Arrested after Police Chas Crash on 30th Avenue and Roxburry Street
White Center, WA (May 7, 2021) – A crash occurred on 30th Avenue and Roxburry Street after a vehicle pursuit on Thursday morning.
The accident happened on May 6 in the Safeway parking lot, at 30th Avenue SW and SW Roxbury Street, at about 8:40 a.m.
Tim Meyer of the King County Sheriff’s Office said that deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity of a driver.
However, as deputies arrived, the driver deliberately crashed into the deputies’ vehicle before fleeing.
This initiated a short pursuit, which ended when a deputy used a PIT maneuver at 30th Avenue SW and SW Thistle Street. As a result, the suspect’s vehicle rolled over and crashed.
Officers took the suspect who was not injured into custody.
Furthermore, a passenger in the suspect’s vehicle tried to flee on foot. However, they were a short distance away when police captured them.
Moreover, one deputy sustained injuries from this Washington crash.

The preliminary duties and investigation prompted the closure of the intersection at 30th Avenue and Thistle Street.
