Stockton Auto Accident on El Dorado Street
STOCKTON, CA (August 18, 2020) – Sunday afternoon, a suspect escaped after committing an assault and a crash on El Dorado Street.
According to reports, as the motorist approach a north Stockton parking lot, another vehicle struck his car. Then, he parked and the other vehicle drove and struck his vehicle again.
The 48-year-old victim lent his phone to the other driver. However, when he attempted to retrieve it, the other driver began hitting and kicking him several times.
The male suspect between 18 and 25 years old then went off with the cellphone. Afterward, he was involved in two hit-and-run crashes around 2:40 p.m. The other crashes took place as he went off the parking lot in the 6000 block of North El Dorado Street, north of Swain Road.
The suspect’s vehicle was disabled and had fled on foot. At this time, the authorities are still looking for him.
Meanwhile, the attacked victim didn’t sustain any injury.
May this incident be a reminder for all motorists to drive responsibly. Drivers should also keep in mind that distracted driving, speeding, and failing to yield will lead to dangerous road accidents.
What to Do After an Auto Accident
While driving is essential for many to move about in their lives, it is one of the most dangerous daily maneuvers. It is therefore important to know what to do if you find yourself in a traffic collision.
On the AAA Foundation Web site, chief executive officer Peter Kissinger repeatedly labeled the epidemic of motor vehicle-related accidents a “public health crisis.”
Mark Sweet, a personal injury attorney at Sweet Lawyers, says that serious car accident cases may call for a separate investigation spearheaded by an experienced lawyer fighting on behalf of the injured individual. A lawyer will make sure victims are not cheated from the proper compensation they are owed.
