Susan Chenot Arrested, One Killed in Fresno Hit-and-Run Accident on Cedar Avenue
FRESNO, CA (August 14, 2019) – A hit-and-run driver identified as Susan Chenot killed a man riding his skateboard on Saturday, August 10.
According to officers, 56-year-old Susan Chenot struck the man at Cedar Avenue and Ashlan Avenue. The impact knocked him off his skateboard and into a street pole right around midnight.
Chenot fled the scene. However, a witness took down a description of the car. The witness then helped police find it in northwest Fresno with some very obvious damage to the front windshield.
Officers haven’t fully determined who was to blame for the crash. However, driving away from the accident is a crime.
Police closed the intersection of Cedar and Ashlan for a few hours overnight during the investigation. They have not publicly identified the victim as of Sunday morning.
Officers booked Chenot in the Fresno County jail on charges of hit-and-run causing death, vehicular manslaughter, and drug possession.
